Haunted Bhangarh Investigated - Myth or Reality ?

Bhangarh is a town in India that is famous for its historical ruins within the Banghar Fort which was built in 1613. Bhangarh is considered one of the top ten most haunted locations in the world and has been the attraction for tourists and the paranormal investigators, for years.

According to legend, the city of Bhangarh was cursed by the Guru Balu . He had sanctioned the construction of the town on one condition, "The moment the shadows of your palaces touch me, the city shall be no more!" When a descendant prince raised the palace to a height that cast a shadow on Balu Nath's forbidden retreat, he cursed the town. Balu Nath is said to be buried there to this day in a small samādhi.

Another myth is the legend of the Princess of Bhangarh, Ratnavati. She is believed to be the jewel of Rajasthan. On her eighteenth birthday she began to get offers of marriage from other regions (i.e. nobility). In the area lived a tantrik, a magician well versed in the occult, called Singhia, who was in love with the princess but knew that the match was impossible. One day Singhia saw the princess's maid in the market, he used his black magic on the oil she was purchasing so that upon touching it the princess would surrender herself to him. The princess, however, seeing the tantric enchanting the oil, foiled his plan by pouring it on the ground. As the oil struck the ground it turned into a boulder, that crushed Singhia. Dying, the tantrik cursed the palace with the death of all who dwelt in it. The next year there was a battle between Bhangarh and Ajabgarh in which Princess Ratnavati perished. Legends says that there are ghosts in Bhangarh and that is why entry is prohibited for tourists in the fort after sunset and before sunrise.^[3] The locals believe that the princess Ratnavati has taken birth somewhere else and that the fort and the empire of Bhangarh is waiting for her return to put an end to the curse.

1. Clean the house or apartment and don't leave there any impure substances, esp. of bodily origin, and leftover food and drinks (ghosts feed on them like e.g. insects or microbes). 

Ghosts are attracted by a dismal family situation, weakened persons (children, sick - esp. mentally, old), drug addicts, violent, perverse, dabbling in black magic, ghost invocation, Satanist rituals and magical objects. If they were buried without spiritual rites and if their descendants keep the urn with ashes at home, they stay there too.

Double check if there is any object which does not belongs to the house . If you got it with you, return it to the place it belonged. If it came on its own get it away.

2. Move the children, the female and the elderly people in the house at a safe pace.
  
3. Be positive, be strong and remember the apparition was a human being, at a point in time, like us. If you fall weak, it is going to trouble you more.

4. Never invoke the ghost. 

5. It will appear hallucination at first, apply your critical thinking and  if the activity increases gradually. Call in help (family or friends to validate the activity).

6.  Stay at a different place for a day or two and find out if the activity persists. If not, get your house cleansed.

 What is Possession ?
Ghosts can enter (so-called possession) non-living objects, insects, birds, animals, people and Devas. It means that they attach themselves to the subtle body of an incarnated being and live off his energy (prana) as parasites. They suffer because without physical body they can't satisfy their desires like hunger, thirst or sex desire. They wait until their karma-set time expires and they will be able to incarnate again.

Real Haunting - Tonk (Rajasthan, India)

The Ghost re- appears. This time it is a child`s spirit.  The Spirit manifested in-front of three small girls in the toilet and pushed them. Terrified seeing the manifestation and the physical push all of the three girls became unconscious.

Villagers when became aware of the paranormal activity,  they were immediately concerned over the incident and stopped their kids (170 students) from going to the school.
The rituals ended on a high note as one of the villagers was possessed by the local deity 'Tejaji'. Through this villager, Tejaji  advised parents to regularly perform religious ceremony at a temple in the school to free it of evil spirits.

Several education department officers and local public representatives participated in the religious ceremony.

Types of Spirits / Possible Hauntings

While a human infant on birth is normally found, crying but many newborn babies of animals are found even walking along with their mothers.
